Final Day in Greece

Tuesday was our final day in Greece, so we decided to actually set an alarm and get up early.  We popped up to partly cloudy skies but rushed to get ready and hurried to eat breakfast.  We packed up our bags and laid out our clothes so we would be ready to leave quickly, then headed down for our last day on the beach. The beach was busy again, and the sun seemed to be playing tag with the clouds, sunny, then not, then sunny again.  But it was such a nice morning and we enjoyed every minute of our time.  There are some people who walk around and sell items on the beach, nothing like the numbers
of salesmen and women on Sandy Beach in Mexico, but still there, nonetheless.  Anyway, one of the vendors I was looking for was a doughnut vendor.  He walks around yelling, "Fresh doughnuts, chocolate doughnuts!" So he finally showed up and we purchased a raised, sugar one and a heart shaped one filled with chocolate (perhaps Nutella?).  Oh, they were just heavenly!
We stayed as long as we possibly could, and with sad hearts had to leave by 11:00.  We hurried into the heart of town to purchase a last few souvenirs before Sashko came to pick us up at noon.

Showered, grabbed out bags and headed to check out.  We had some time and knew we would get hungry on the trip home, so we went across the street from our hotel and ordered souvlaki (delicious pork on skewers) and some fresh french fries (sliced potatoes.)   Sashko arrived as we were finishing, we packed up our bags, said goodbye to our sea, and headed back to Skopje.
